On television, "Bonanza" continued to draw the country's largest audiences each week, while "(You're My) Soul And Inspiration" by The Righteous Brothers held the top spot on the music charts. The Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers to claim the NBA championship, and in March, NASA's Gemini 8 mission made history when astronauts Neil Armstrong and David Scott completed the first successful docking of two spacecraft in orbit.
