On radio, Donna Summer's "Bad Girls" dominated the airwaves, while audiences packed theaters for "Moonraker," the latest James Bond film, and families settled in each week with the Emmy-winning sitcom "Taxi." On August 10, Michael Jackson released "Off the Wall," an album that would go on to sell seven million copies in the United States alone, announcing a new era for one of pop music's most significant careers.
